DIY Salvaged Door Coffee Table
If you are a big DIYer, you will love this. I’ve seen old doors salvaged and repurposed into many cool things; tables, headboards, barn doors, shelving and even a window. Now we can add a coffee table to the list.
Check out This Sorta Old Life’s post on how to make a Salvaged Door Coffee Table. They say it’s their greenest project ever and they did it for a budget-friendly $31. Plus it’s great for kid-friendly rooms. The door is already beat up, so what more damage could your kids do? As an added bonus, there aren’t any sharp corners for your little ones to poke their eyes out.
For the most part the door should have a nice smooth and aged patina to put your feet up, but you may want to clean and sand it to get rid of loose paint and dirt (be careful of lead-based paints with those really old doors). This will be a great DIY project for you and your family.
